The system will be available after the last quarter of 2022. After its implementation, every citizen from the eligible country list will be legally bound to apply through this platform and get a visa waiver. The process of getting the visa waiver to enter the Schengen country will be very simple and straightforward. In a matter of 10 minutes, you will fill the application form and get the visa waiver authorisation. The electronic authorisation will be emailed to you, which you have provided at the time of filling the application form.
ETIAS: SECURITY IN EUROPE
The main purpose of this system is to increase the safety and security in the EU. The system is in the pipeline, and all the important requisites are under process. The system is a combination of all the databases which the immigration and border security use to screen the travellers and look for any threats or flag. The ETIAS will incorporate all the databases of law enforcement agencies, namely the Interpol, SIS II and other local and international databases. The purpose of this integration is to look for any potential threat and stop the individual before they come to the border of the Schengen area. The ETIAS will screen for the individual from Panama and all the other 60 countries. The system will deny access to the person who has any ties to any obnoxious organisation or is has committed some serious crimes in the motherland or some other area. ETIAS will stop all the travellers who are not safe for the EU area and deny them the authorisation right away. This system will improve the safety and security of EU citizens and travels alike.
COUNTRIES TO ENTER WITH ETIAS
After implementing the system, the visa waiver will allow the Panama citizen to stay in any of the member states for 90 days. The 90 days period must not cross in the 180 consecutive days. Not all the European states are part of the Schengen area. Currently, the 22 states and other small de-facto states are a member of the scene area. ETIAS will allow 90 days to stay and travel to any member states without the need for a visa if you have your ETIAS authorisation with you.

When all the information is completed, the system will require the applicant to pay the visa waiver processing fee. The authorities have claimed that the fee will be minimal and it won’t be a burden for the travellers. The visa waiver will be valid for three years, and it will be minimal for the whole time. The Panama citizens must double-check the spellings and all the information provided on the application form. Any mistake and discrepancy will turn the processing from automatic to normal. In return, the application process, which will complete in 10 to 20 minutes, might take 3 to 4 days. The applicant's information must be in accordance with the Panama passport regarding the travel to the different countries and links to various areas. If there is any discrepancy in the information, the applicant will be refused, and the traveller will be denied to enter the Schengen area.
TRAVEL TO EUROPE WITH AN ETIAS
The Panama citizens will get the authorisation from ETIAS after the completion of the process. Once the authorisation is completed, it will be sent to the applicant's given email address at the time of application. The passport will be electronically linked with the visa waiver, and it will remain valid for three years. The visa waiver is linked to the Panama passport, and if the passport expires during the three year time, the applicant will have to apply for the new passport, and after that, he or she will be eligible to apply for the ETIAS. Once the passport is expired, the Panama citizen will have to leave the Schengen area at once, and after getting the new passport, they will have to go through the same process and get the authorisation. Panama citizens with more than one passport must choose the one with maximum validity and keep that passport with them all the time during their visit and stay in the Schengen area. The passport will allow the short term 90 days stay and unlimited numbers of visits to the Schengen areas. All the Panama citizens will provide the information which will be screened from the database to increase the safety and security of Panama travellers and EU citizens alike.
